INAUGURACIÓN / OPENING MADATAC_08

MADATAC, la Muestra de Arte Digital Audiovisual y Tecnologías Acontemporáneas internacional, llega a su octava edición habiéndose establecido en España como el referente de la cultura digital y del arte más experimental. Desde el 12 hasta el 5 de febrero, Madrid se convertirá en un hervidero del videoarte y nuevos medios con sede en el Centro Cultural Conde Duque, donde más un centenar de videoartistas de 40 países mostrarán la vanguardia de lo que actualmente se está creando en el plano del nuevo arte audiovisual alrededor del mundo. Todo ello a través de exhibiciones, proyecciones, conferencias, performances, instalaciones interactivas, talleres y conciertos audiovisuales de grandes figuras del mundo del arte electrónico de los nuevos medios. Desde una perspectiva interdisciplinar y fusionando el mundo de la técnica con el de la imaginación poética, MADATAC desafía, pues, las narrativas cinemáticas convencionales ofreciendo el arte audiovisual más transformador en una apuesta por el riesgo y la belleza. Por la Muestra han pasado personalidades como Brian Eno, Roy Ascott, Román Gubern, Lech Majewski, Mabel Palacín, Reynold Reynolds, Bernd Lintermann o Claudia Gianetti, entre tantos otros, y a ella están vinculadas figuras como Bill Viola, así como lo ha estado el ya desaparecido Abbas Kiarostami. MADATAC difunde el arte de los nuevos medios y el videoarte más inédito, inclasificable y visionario, aquel que propicia el arte de ver lo inadvertido.

La inauguración de la 8ª edición de MADATAC contará con la apertura de la primera exhibición individual en España del artista taiwanés Wu Tienchang, asi como la de las obras finalistas del Premio de Instalación New Media Art MADATAC 08 en la Sala de Bóvedas del Centro Conde Duque.

A continuación se podrá asistir al concierto audiovisual DIMENSION N, a cargo de Alba Corral [ES]  & Dariusz Makaruk [PL]

MADATAC ha sido reconocida por un Jurado Internacional en Bruselas para recibir la distinción EFFE 2015-2016 por la calidad artística de la Muestra y tener un significativo impacto a nivel local, nacional e internacional.

MADATAC, the International Acontemporary Audio-Visual & New Media Art Festival, reaches its eighth edition having established itself in Spain as the benchmark of digital culture for the most experimental and original sound and visual art. From January 12 to February 5, Madrid will become a hive of video and new media art based at the Cultural Center Conde Duque, where more than a hundred of video artists from 40 countries will show the avant-garde that is currently being done at the level of the new audiovisual art in the world. All this through exhibitions, projections, conferences, performances, interactive installations, workshops and audiovisual concerts of great figures of the worldwide electronic art. From an interdisciplinary perspective, and merging the world of technology with that of a poetical imagination, MADATAC thus challenges conventional cinematic narratives by offering the most transformative audiovisual art in a commitment to risk and beauty. For its editions have participate personalities like Brian Eno, Roy Ascott, Román Gubern, Lech Majewski, Mabel Palacín, Reynold Reynolds, Bernd Lintermann or Claudia Gianetti, among others, and are linked figures like Bill Viola or the already gone Abbas Kiarostami. MADATAC disseminates the art of new media and the most unprecedented, unclassifiable and visionary video art, the one that favors the art of seeing what is unseen.

The opening of the 8th edition of MADATAC will count with the premiere of the first individual exhibition in Spain of the Taiwanese artist Wu Tienchang, as well as that of the shortlisted works for MADATAC 08 New Media Art Installation Award in the Sala de bóvedas of the Cultural Centre Conde Duque.

Next it will be possible to attend to the audio-visual concert DIMENSION N, by Alba Corral [ES]  & Dariusz Makaruk [PL]

MADATAC has been recognized by an International Jury in Brussels to receive the EFFE 2015-2016 distinction for the artistic quality of the Exhibition and to have a significant impact at local, national and international level.
